Since 1953
Hudson “Hut” Avant opened The Dairylane as a summer-only business in 1953, after twice being turned down for a Dairy Queen franchise in Sandersville. It became a year-round business in 1957 and hasn’t slowed down a bit ever since. Though it changed hands in 1995, we have never lost site of our mission to be a gathering place for the community. We serve the regular favorites: hamburgers, hot dogs, shakes, barbeque and fountain drinks!

Dairylane Ice Cream
A favorite treat for anytime of the day and anytime of the year. Dairylane features our signature Blasts, Sundaes, Milkshakes, and Ice Cream Cones.
Dairylane BBQ Sandwich
A classic on the Dairylane menu is our BBQ. Have it on a sandwich or get it in a pint, quart, or by the pound.
Dairylane Sides
The Dairylane doesn’t cut short when it comes to our sides. Try our fries or onion rings hot and fresh, or get some homemade Brunswick stew, potato salad, coleslaw, or mashed potatoes.

Since 2018, The Dairylane has been selling t-shirts in the colors of local teams, for special holidays and occassions, and in many other color combinations.
